Just wondering how many of the newer member's are collector's as well as gamers?

And if you're collectors, where are the collection pics Tongue.

I'm not really a collector as I don't buy games I'm never going to play, but I do have a fairly nice selection of games to choose from for various consoles:

Gameboy/Gameboy Advance:

Gamecube:

Mega Drive/Master System:

Saturn:

PAL:

JAP:

SNES:

I've also got a PC Engine arriving soon with 11 games and then there's my PC games collection which is probably nearing the hundreds by now which I can't be bothered to photgraph.  Wink

I've not played any of my Pokemon games for months, I'm a bit bored of them at the moment.

I'm a collector of various system although I wish I didn't have this addiction - It raids all your money and takes up to much room  Wink

Even though I collect for the mega drive I never have time to play any of the games I collect which is pretty shitty.. However I do play sometimes on the xbox "Mega Drive Emulator"

I've only recently started to take pictures of my items because most of the stuff is in storage containers or my loft and parents loft.

Here's about 20% of my stuff

This is my current gallery:

Didn't realise you collected for so many consoles, nice  Smiley.

I used to collect for pretty much everything, but I sold pretty much all my non Sega/Sony stuff off (mainly to Aypok :p). I find my collection much easier to manage now and it feels more like a collection than before too. It used to just feel like a stack of games before as I seriously didn't have a clue what games/consoles I had at one point.

Check *HERE* for pics of my entire Sega collection ( just need to add my accessories, DC and Pico games, haven't had time to photograph them yet ), I may or may not add my Playstation collection to it, haven't decide yet.

Nice, I took alook at your site the other day and was impressed with the amount of mega drive and master system games you have.

My photobucket page really does only show 20% as I was collecting for 6 years before I started to take photo's.

Like many, Ive sold alot of my items as well but I nearly always seems to buy them back later on down the line, for example I've had around 6 Neo Geo's so far..

I know what you mean about knowing what you have and haven't got!

I couldn't tell you what games I have for the spectrum/amiga/fm towns/amstrad/game gear/mega cd/3do/atari st ...

I can just about remember all my console though - Sometime when I have a look through all the boxes I get a nice suprise by finding something I've fogotten about like a Nintendo M82 or some JAMMA boards etc....

It's only recently I've started making lists and taking pictures to try and get more organised...

If I'm honest I wish I had the will power to sell everything I own (I certainly could do with the money) but just can't bring myself to do it when I think about the cover art on the master system and mega drive console inparticular..

I totally need to get going with some updated collection pictures.  I have a ton of Atari 2600 stuff I need to show everyone to create masses of drool, along with an update to my now complete SMS collection (minus a damn pirate, which I still need).  I'm primarily a gamer.  I enjoy collecting, but I spend most of my time collecting games that are actually playable.  In the case of the SMS, however, I own everything because I enjoy actual collecting for it the most.  Something like the Megadrive or 2600 I only collect what I actually play.  There is only so much space on has for such things.  I'm also something of an amateur video game historian, and the SMS is what pretty much got me into doing it, finding programmers, etc. and learning about the secrets of the Master System era.  Still waiting on the government to send me that damn Beeshu stuff, however, which would make a nice article on here as well because it was during the early years of the Genesis that it happened here in the states.

I dont really collect, since I have no interest in buying the games just for the sake of having them (unless theyre super cheap or I'm getting them free). I think I have more games on the Mega Drive than any other consoles though. Smiley
